Re:  Washington D.C. Restaurants

From: Margcata

Good Morning,

Firstly, selecting restaurants can be quite complicated when you do not know someone´s palate or budget.

However, with this in mind, here are a couple of my D.C. venues:

1) Oye - owned by Asturian, Spanish wizard and Chef, José Andrés - The cuisine is Mexican, Spanish and local American Fusion ... He also is the owner of several other small restaurants in the D.C. centre vicinity.

2) I had been very impressed with a tiny Greek restaurant in D.C. upon my last trip over in 2010, and the owner is truly versed in his art. The restaurant is called:  Komi and it was ambrosia and nectar. Do make a reservation as it is very very tiny.

Happy Holidays.

I am uncertain if it is still there, however, back in 2007 when I had visited two dear old friends in DC we had gone to

I Ricchi

a lovely Italian Tuscan restaurant with above average cuisine ... both the frescoes and the owners were absolutely wonderful and the cuisine, divine.

1220 - 19th street

DC
