Hi Everyone,

My Name is DiAnne, I live in Sonoma, CA were it's beautiful Wine Country.

I'm new to this, so bare with me.

It so exciting finding this site, were everybody loves food.

Since I was around 23 I had a passion for food, I was a single parent so I couldn't choice my career path and ended up doing office work. Though I did make good money, really never complained about not having something, but I always new something was missing. It wasn't until I turned 39 that I decided to go back to school, the Junior College, (one of the best ones for Culinary) and take all my culinary courses, and received a certificate. What a great day that was.

Since then I have worked in several restaurants, the different experience that I had was great, and I learn something different from each employer.

I hope to make some new cooking friends.

Hello DiAnne and welcome! How brave of you to change your career path - and congratulations on the completion of your training.

The membership of ChefTalk is wide, from around the globe as well as all levels of culinary skill, from those just starting out to masterchefs and all points in between. I fall into the 'very enthusiastic amateur' group!

The wikis, blogs, articles, reviews and photographs are all well worth viewing, with much inspiration to be gained - especially from the photography. Feel free to join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own in the relevant forum.

Hope that you'll participate - lots of interesting opinions on here, often on the same topics - but vastly differing views - but always courteously conducted!
