Huge MACY's ad crashes my browsers, ruins the entire experience

That big fat MACY's ad crashes my browsers when I try to close it, whether I use Safari or Chrome, doesn't matter. It literally ruins the entire experience of visiting this forum for me, and I often find myself leaving for other forums instead.

I use FireFox 8.0 with AdBlock, no problems.

 

FireFox lets me use RecipeFox to capture recipes for MasterCook

I use adblock as well. I think Chrome supports a similar feature.

I just tried to install RecipeFox and it stated that it wouldn't work with my version of FireFox ... and I use version 8 .. hmmm wierd

I gave up on Firefox a few months ago. I'll look into an ad blocker for Chrome, but sometimes I browse the forum from computers that only have Safari installed and where I don't have the admin rights to install the software I want, so this is very annoying.

Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/recipetools/files/RecipeFox/ and you can download version 0.60 which DOES work with FireFox 8.0

I too HATE THAT BIG STUPID AD!!!

 

I've got a MAC however, and closing it hasn't caused me any problems. Just a basic PITA.
