I only 'warmed' food (cans and microwave) until six months ago when I suddenly (at age 60) decided that I would like to actually cook. I am fascinated with the interaction of flavor, texture, aroma, and sight of food and how pairing those factors with the intriguing combination and mix of bitter, sweet, salty, sour, and umami (I just discovered), all work together to elicit an almost physical/spiritual response from those consuming it (hopefully).
Wow. No wonder you all cook ... it is a fascinating endeavor. I am just beginning to glimpse the possibilities and I am almost speechless. I am glad this website is here!
