ID-500D Tabletop induction stove for wok?

I was looking for tabletop/self-standing induction stoves for woks and came across this > http://www.gastroworld-24.de/product_info.php?language=en&products_id=16244

 

The model number/name is ID-500D, I was wondering if anyone has experiences on this particular piece of kit? I know it really is in the low end but I was wondering if it would be a viable option for home use. Currently not enjoying the pleasure of owning a home (rent only) and as such installed equipment is not an alternative (as are not pro models which start from 2k and up).

I'm still happy with it.

 

You get a net wattage boost as you have the higher standard voltage.I'd love to have that extra 1300 watts of power in the wok, probably close to an extra 4000 BTU which would be about 10K total delivered to the wok.

 

The cooking bowl stains easily from grease/residue on the outside of the wok.

What kind of wok are you using with this unit?  Basic carbon steel wok?  Looks interesting.  I've contemplated getting an outdoor gas unit, but this would be convenient in the winter.
