Besides Asturian Spanish Chef José Andrés in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, are there anyaccomplished Chefs with expertise in the various Iberian Cuisines ?
José Andrés and I had met many years ago, as his Godfather is a dear friend of my Publisher. He also is a published author and T.V. Chef ( in Spain ). Additionally, he is a disciple of Ferrán Adriá.
Chicago and NYC ...
I had been to Taberna Ba Ba Ree Ba in Chicago and their tapas were lovely. NYC used to have a fab Tapas Bar where all the Spanish Consulate Staff would go on Second Avenue Between East 8th and 7th Streets years ago. I had not been too impressed with the Spanish cuisine in Manhattan of recent. Years and Years ago, I had lunched in Sevilla on Charles Street in the West Village and it was exemplary. However, the last time I had been in NYC ( Spring 2011 ) I found these two closed.
Miami and Miami Beach ...
I had not been very impressed by the Spanish restaurants of Miami nor Miami Beach however, I have had wonderful Spanish red wines in Miami ... and I mean wonderful ... Faustino Reserva and Vega Sicilia genre.
For those Chefs and Appreciaters of Fine Gastronomy Worldwide, positive shared information is welcomed ... Thanks. Margcata.
