So i have just started toying around with butter cream recipes to try and make a good one. I am using a recipe where you cook he sugar in the water and add it to your whipped eggs. i am trying to learn the real way and not the confectioners sugar and butter recipe that everyone uses. It came out pretty good but it taste so much different than the easy version and it is really fluffy like whipped cream and i would like to get anyones point of view on how i can make it better or if anyone has a better recipe?

There is nothing much you can do to the basic recipe, BUT you can add flavors to it... Try Rose Water and Orange... Use Orange rind and some Rose water.. It is very good.. That is what I used to fill my French Macarons. It has that fresh taste to it.. You can also use Lorann oils. They come in SO many flavors.. Marshmallows, Peanut butter, Smores, Cheesecake, Cotton candy and many more.. The Italian buttercream (the one you made) has a very smooth texture. You will not find lumps or undissolved sugar.
