How to become Meister Chef/Cook in Germany

Thread Starter

Can anybody help me in finding the answer to the following questions?

What is the official name for a Meister Chef?

How difficult and how long does it take to reach this qualification?

Thanks in advance.

Marketplace, welcome to Cheftalk,

I would like to answer your question but such a title for me does not exist. If you are looking for Executive Chef , then I will understand.

Masterchef is a title that has been flung around so repeatdely and a bit unrespectfully that it has no meaning in my opinion.

T.V is guilty of the abusive title.

If you were to ask a question like , How long does it take to be an Executive Chef ? Then it would be a whole new question that many here would have something to say about .

Now I may be corrected on my view of Masterchef, but thats ok, I am willing to learn.

Petals.

ps. every country has their own criteria .
