I'm Abi and I'm new to the forum! I've stumbled here and learned more than a few things.
I'd like to share that growing up Cooking was an insecurity (thanks to my Mom who was really good at it). When I would cook for my family when I was younger, it was always criticized (not enough salt, too bland, not cooked enough etc..) So when I got married, that's always been in the back of my head. Yes, I might seem to be over-reacting but I struggled with that.
But things are looking much better for me now. I'm blessed with a very "supportive" and easy to please husband. And some 5+ years of marriage and a growing collection of cookbooks and ups and downs, I'm no longer worried about "my" cooking. Still not the best, but now I've made peace with myself that as long as the hubby (and our 2 little ones) are happy and tummies are full, mommy's doing ok.
So I am just thrilled to have found this and continue to learn more from all of you! Thanks in advance for all things good and yummy I'll learn!
Best to all,
