Cookie Brownie Mystery

Thread Starter

My boyfriends father recently stayed in the hospital and they served him this brownie. Well, we have no idea what company it came from or what brand it was. He said it looked like a cookie, had chocolate chips in it, had a cookie consistency, but said brownie on the package. I've searched and searched...even tried making the Betty Crocker brownie cookie mix and that wasn't similar. Anyone have any idea what pre packaged snack cake this could be or any recipe that would be similar? Thanks.

I have made a "brookie" a few times.  It is a brownie and cookie in one.  It is shaped like a chocolate cookie but it soft and chewy texture of a brownie.  I like it since it is soft and fudgy like a brownie and easy and thin enough to be called a cookie.  You can find lots of recipe online.  It has cocoa powder for the base and the usual eggs, flour and sugar..  I am sure the nice folks here and provide a better recipe that we both can try.  Hope that helps
