Hi :)

 

I'm a big fan of Italian food, especially pasta and pizza with meaty sauces. What are your favorite Italian meals? I could use some inspiration. :)

Buy The Silver Spoon (Il Cucchiaio d'argento). It's a good source for Italian food.

There are tons of recipes on the forums here, what sort of recipe are you looking for?

some usuals:

pasta e ceci (creamy chickpea soup with pasta)

pasta e fagioli (same, with beans)

lentil soup over toasted bread rubbed with garlic

countless pasta dishes - everyone knows about tomato sauces (though not everyone knows that most of them are meatless) but there are lots of types of pasta with vegetables, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchine,

Risotto dishes

polenta dishes

and tons of ways to cook vegetables,

just let us know what you're interested in

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. :)

 

Siduri, to be honest, I don't really know what I'm looking for. I know there's more to Italian than just pasta and pizza, so I'm looking for new things to try. :) Risotto looks delicious. I'll definitely poke around here for some recipes.

Risottos are good, but it might take a practice one or two to get the technique down.  And fish stews, my wife and I love a good chicken parm, veal, pork, chicken milanese ...

To address the "meaty" part of your question, you should look into "Ragù" type sauces, which usually (always?) contain meat.
