Was just practicing for no reason today:

The cake looks Orange but it is pink.  Maybe because the French macarons are hot pink in color..

Thank you Thaozeho, smile.gif

It is very easy.. One thing I learned,  the cake has to be thin so it won't break when rolling..

OMG (Oh My Gravy)  Cotton Candy filling?  How do you do that?

I've made a couple of rolled cakes with Ice Cream fillings, a big hit at some pot lucks... as an Easter gift for my Mother this year I'm going to attempt sugar cookies with royal icing to look like decorated Easter eggs... wish me luck...

To get the Cotton candy flavor...  either use Lorann Oils (Cotton Candy flavor)  OR Duncan Hines new Frosting Creations w/c comes in 12 flavors:  Cotton Candy;  Almond CHocolate; Orange Supreme;  Strawberry ShortCake; Mocha;  Bubble Gum; Caramel, Cherry Vanilla; CHocolate Marshmallow;  Cinnamon Roll;  Mint Chocolate and White CHocolate Raspberry.

So far I have tried 5 of them and I think the flavores are great.,  OR you can make your own butter cream with any flavor you like..

Thank you

prettycake, I just went into walmart yesterday and saw those frostings, are they good?  or should I make buttercream and look for the flavoring?  I'm thinking that I saw that at Michael's...

edit:btw, as i look at the photo again, when i was in walmart i bought the cake doilies, my husband thinks i'm nuts, but it sure makes the cakeplate look more finished

Lorann oil are not sold at Michaels.. I have not seen them in stores unless maybe it is a specialty store.

Try and taste the new icing creations.. They taste good to me.  Am not that snooty about buying ready made  stuff  lol.gifbiggrin.gifchef.gif  I use them sometimes.

Oh, I guess what I meant to say was I think I’ve seen just Cotton Candy extract along with other flavorings that I had never thought to use is icing/frosting/fillings.  As for Lorann Oil, never saw that one, is that a brand name?

ok,  if you saw Cotton candy extract,  then that would work also.

Here is the Loran oil website just to give you an idea:
