My name is Mike. I am a practicing attorney from Massachusetts who enjoys cooking and entertaining. My favorite things to cook are italian cuisine (love northern italian especially), mexican, and all seafood. I live by the mantra "fat is flavor" and I have the lbs. to back it up!

 

I spent most of my pre-professional career in restaurants, serving/waiting, tending bar, washing dishes, busing tables. Looking forward to learning new things on this site.

Hello, Mike and welcome to Cheftalk.

 

Our membership is broad, from around the globe (I'm Scots, for instance) and all levels of culinary ability - which makes for interesting conversations.  The wikis, blogs, articles, reviews and photographs on the site are all well worth spending time to view and can be a source of real inspiration for us all.

 

Feel free to join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own in the relevant forum.  There are three professional fora which are read-only for those of us not employed in a culinary trade (but they still make interesting reading for we amateurs!)

Hello there! I'm a recently graduated Culinary student from Terrace, British Columbia, now in search of my place in the food Industry. I've always found I can express myself through cooking since I've found it to be a style of art; not only for vision but for taste!

 

Currently looking for my place in the career, I've always been very interested in spicy foods, and baking. Always looking for new inspirations and ideas, Cooking has not only become a career for me, but also a hobby.
