Where did these come from?

How did I suddenly get subscriptions?  (I saw a star in the upper right hand corner at the top of the page)

I didn't subscribe to anything...

Some 250 something?

I didn't do that from this morning when I was on line...

They default to on. I agree, it shouldn't be that way in my opinion. And it seems one of the recent updates reset people's settings because I had to turn them off again myself.

If you got to your profile page, the first entry in the tool bar on the left is Edit Subscriptions. Click that and you can turn off the default subscription settings, notifications and such.

Under "Default New" set to "Don't Subscribe"

You have to remove the existing ones by clicking "remove" by each one.

An "Off" would be a marvelously simple solution. How could it possibly have been overlooked?redface.gifredface.gifredface.gifredface.gif

I think it's only since that recent update that people have new subscriptions.

A lot of people like them though.
