What can i do with this piece of beef?

I got this piece of beef and I have no idea what part of the beef it is and what to do with it? Any ideas what part it could be and recommendations what to do with it?

To me that looks like a cut off the round.  As such, I would cook it low and slow.  Perhaps a stew or braise.

Chili, cube brown and braise for stroganoff, Rollatini, thin slice, pound, marinade in apple juice and pineapple (to tenderize), flour and brown for faux schnitzel chicken fried steak, ground to use in meat sauce, meatball mix, hamburgers meatloaf etc. Crock pot and BBQ for pulled BBQ beef,

 

gotta switch to decaf crazy.gif!

Mystery Meat gets any one of three different options... no need to even know what it is.

 

Soup, Stew or Grind.   Problem solved!

 

(edit:  I agree that it looks like a poorly trimmed portion of the round - hatchet work?)

When in doubt throw it in a pot and leave it in there for a long time.  Braise.

My first glance response was chuck, but the muscles aren't right, so I'll go with round as well, most likely bottom round.
