Well hello. I am a seasonal chef who has just finished a fantastic season in Aspen Colorado. I am back in Europe going through the somewhat tedious process of interviewing as a Yacht Chef. The work is fantastic if you can handle the long hours and small living conditions. I am loving this website and have found some recipes I want to use already.

Hello, Johnny - and welcome to ChefTalk.
You seem to be combining the best of possible worlds, travel and cooking - two of my favourite things! I hope you get your next employment sorted out soon. I used to have a friend who was married to a very wealthy Italian. He had a wonderful yacht and we cruised the med and the Greek islands a couple of times with them. Sadly, he died a few years ago - but the memories we have of those holidays will always be cherished.
Feel free to join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own in the relevant forum. There are three professionals-only fora, but we ask that you do not limit your posts to those 3, as many of us, like me, are not allowed to post in those areas and often the topic raised is of general interest, rather than just a 'chef-fy' topic!
The wikis, blogs, articles, reviews and photographs are all well worth viewing, too and can be a source of much inspiration to both the home cook and the professional.
