Peanut Butter Brownie cheesecake

This cheesecake calls for a Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix for the crust and a Betty Crocker brownie mix for  the brownie pieces that are dropped into the cheese cake batter.Besides that it has:

24oz of cream cheese

1 can condensed milk

4 eggs

1t vanilla.

My question is  can the cookie dough and brownies be made  from scratch .  I have the ingredients for it all that way .

Oh I totally agree.  It was a request from my 17 year old grandson for his birthday.  It is tradition in our family for grandma to make a cheesecake of choice for birthdays instead of traditional cake.  Over 30 years we have had a lot of different ones.  My favorites are still plain or one with a delicate fruit swirl.

I did make this cheesecake by the way from scratch instead of mixes.  It was ok.  I cut most of the condensed milk out and added a cup of sour cream.  Still very sweet with the crust.
