Hey guys, glad to join the forum.

 

I love food, but cooking had never been my interest...

That is, until I moved out of my house in my 3rd year of university and quickly realized that I'd have to prepare my meals more often than before. This made me look for a college-budget cookware set, and I got a T-Fal 10pc.

Even then, I wasn't cooking too much.

 

But recently, I got a job at a Calphalon store, and have been cooking almost every other day! I've been able to use almost all surfaces and knives I could get my hands on through the lending program, and I now consider myself more equipped with cooking knowledge than the average guy. (Which, honestly, isn't all that much.)

 

Cooking became a fun hobby because of work, and I wanted to expand my knowledge base and possibly learn a few new recipes.

 

Looking forward to spending a lot of time here!

You sound like you’re more than “I just like food” kinda person.

If I worked in a Kitchen Store I’d be having a blast.

Feel free to join in any conversation or start your own relevant thread. 

One note on that though, as Non-Professionals, you and I are asked to read only in the Pro forums. 

You might want to utilize the Search bar at the top of the page, as many topics have been discussed previously.  The Articles, Reviews and Galleries are pretty cool too.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I was thinking about being a "at home chef" but thought that "I just like food" sounds more fun.

I did have a snorlax with my face on it that my roommate made me, so it fit. smoking.gif

 

Thanks for the pointers, I'll check the pro board soon!

On another note, I do have a blast working at the store.
