Certificate Baking / Pastry Programs in USA for International Students

Thread Starter

All,

I have been impressed with the information discussed on this site and found it to be of immense value.

This is my first post here.I am currently based in India.

Can someone please suggest me some good baking / pastry certificate programs or diplomas from a USA college that can sponsor via a F1 visa ? My objective is to attend the college as a full time student and then work for a year or two in USA, as a pastry chef.

I have a bachelors degree in Hotel Management and have worked for close to 5 years in Hotel / Cruise industry & majorly on culinary side. Have been interested since a long time to do a course in Baking / Pastry.

Thanks for your time.

You come with a great pedigree, ind84.

IMO any pastry/sugar arts school would love to include you as a student.

I would be asking myself which part of the USA I want to use as my home base.

Then google up a list of schools and contact them personally and get the answer to your question.

This way you will be sure of the answer.

Good luck!

if you really want to learn something (and I'm dead serious, don't care who you are) vs. using school to maintain a visa status check out Stephane Treand's Art of Pastry in San Clemente, CA.
