What is the BEST way to store limes so that they don't go hard before use?

Thank you!

Refrigeration tends to dehydrate over time. If your limes are hard you probably purchased to many and they are to old. Unless you use an awful lot home just buy 2 at a time

I buy limes a dozen or two at a time and keep them in the plastic produce bag from the market in the crisper drawer of the fridge.  I've never had a lime dry out on me.

There's always the chance to try limes confit.
