Hi everyone... from a Filipina in Dubai :)))

Hello everybody!

 

I stumbled upon Chef Talk while doing some research on how to prepare couscous. The feedback from various chefs and culinary enthusiasts was very helpful, and as I browsed through the site, I decided to join. thumb.gif

 

Though am not a professionally trained cook, I come from a family of "home cooks" and hail from what is considered the culinary capital of the Philippines --- a province named "Pampanga", well-known for its rich culinary heritage with a mix of Spanish, Chinese, Malaysian and American influences.

 

In filling out the form, I had to click on "I like food" or something to that effect. I was actually looking for "I really love food" :)))

 

Anyway, I love food and cooking, and am also a writer. I write about all sorts of things, mainly feature stories / fiction / poetry. I also have a personal blog. I currently work for a very popular English medium newspaper in the UAE.

 

I can't wait to be part of a discussion thread here. biggrin.gif
