I worked in Eleuthera for many years and Nassau. Are you working at a resort / hotel / restaurant ? Which island are you at ? I used to take a boat ride to Paradise island when I was down there, there was a bakery that made some amazing breads and sweets.
The plane ride to Nassau was short and I used to enjoy going to the straw market and then hop over to Jonh Bull and admire the store with all it's fluff , fluff that I could merely gaze at and enjoy. Lunch at Lyford Cay.
