I am having trouble with my application. Maybe I can get some help here.

What do you think they mostly look at. I am having such a hard time writing my letter of intent. Did you guys write long ones?

And also where is the actual application. I just can't seem to find it on the website. I emailed them and I'm waiting for a response.

Please and thank you :)

I have no idea what they look at mostly, but for my letter of intent, I just told them about my hopes and aspirations. For example, I talked about my past and what started my interest in the pastry world and then i tied that to Ferrandi..etc

You can write for 2-3 pages and I talked about myself, interest on food and my food related activities. Also about future goals and how Ferrandi will help me to achieve it. Why I chose Ferrandi. Stuffs like that...

Actual application: It is not available in the website. They will email you.

When is everyone arriving in paris? Do you want to get together?
I definitely want to! I have no clue what I'm going to do about housing so it's hard to say when I'm going to actually move there but I know for sure I'm going to visit Paris in June or July.

Hey All,

If you would like to create a "Group" focused on just this very topic you can do so here:

http://www.cheftalk.com/groups/

That way you can have many different discussions all centered around the event.

I haven't even started looking for a place as yet ...  any suggestions as to where to begin ??

I've been talking to one person about rooming together in Paris. Has anyone else been doing this? or are most people planning on living alone?

Hey everyone, I would love to get together. I'll probably come around mid August as well. I've started with some of the formalities but not much just updating my passport and gathering documents for the visa and etc. @ Jessie, how did you find your possible roommate? Isn't it a bit soon? Some people have been telling me that I should really start looking for housing 3-4 months before I plan to go. Although Emily from the bottomless tummy says that if you wait the school will send out some possible homestays (then again who knows if this will happen for us), my other plan was to rent a place from an apartment from an agency for a month then start looking while I'm there since it's apparently a lot easier to find a place once you're there. Ahhh so many things to decided! But I can't wait to see all you guys in a couple of months!
I don't think it's ever too soon! Lol but no in all actuality, We've just been talking about the school, housing, rooming situations, and getting to know each other since we'll be classmates:)

Btw, It seems we're being pushed out of this forum and into the Ferrandi 2013 group! Hahaha so lets all start chatting there!:}

I would actually prefer finding roommates too.. @Jessie: How did you go about it ???

My passport is in order..  and we cant apply for visa before june..  so there is not much to do regarding that at the moment. ..

Someone just PM'd me and we started talking (since we'll be classmates) getting to know each other.. Etc. and we talked about rooming situations and how we need roommates. It's obviously not set in stone however, I think it's good to start looking at options
