Huge Lobster tails - Page 2

Petals  First yours is a real lobster. Many buy frozen tails which come from Brazil, Chile etc. South African tails out priced themselves years ago

All of these are mostly fresh water and not the real Boston, Maine  or Cape area lobster. They are in some cases considered crayfish.. ED

P/S I had a 12 pound Maine Lobster out on my porch on a leash. It fed 4 and I made Bisque for about 6 the next day.

LOL.  WOW!!! I didn't know if I should laugh, or be really afraid.

I know this is an old thread, but wondered... do you guys catch them yourselves, & where are you (if you don't mind my asking)?  I've lived on the left and right coasts (& the ex went scuba diving and brought home a few live ones, but nothing close in size).

wow , wow , wow , ... you lucky lucky people.

i love lobster and potato with a little vinaigrette. can break down the lobster and use it as you need it. I also love lobster raviolis with baby capers.

honestly my mind is blown with the size of those things... just amazing, so lucky ! also , and i will get flack for this but make a cabonara using lobster and quail eggs, actually amazing if somewhat expensive.
