Are there any regular stores that sell cocoa butter? I am having a difficult time finding it and I need it for chocolate candy production.

Here in San Diego the only place I've seen it is in a shop that specifically sells confectionery items. You may be able to find it at a specialty health food store, but I think it would overall be easier to just order it online.

I actually have some (i got it in Rome, so no help to you) and wanted to know what i can do with it?  Is it one of the ingredients in the kind of ice cream coating that turns hard?  or what?

Various confectionery items use cocoa butter, you especially need it when doing chocolate work. Cocoa butter comes naturally from the cocoa pod. I know what your talking about with the chocolate ice cream shell, that for a absolute fact does not have cocoa butter, the fat that is in those kinds of chocolate sauces are hydrogenated oils, they solidify at cold tempatures, thats the same reason the jar of nutella says not to refrigerate...
