does anyone else have problems with muffins sticking to papers-why?

From my experience I have seen this happen for three reasons...

 

1. Muffins were too hot.  Let them cool before peeling off liner.

 

2. Muffins were too dry - add a bit more oil to your batter.

 

3. Overbaking.  Timing is key.  Minutes can make the difference.

Have not heard about this problem before, usually everyone complains that their paper cups fall off after baking, lolol.

If you have a dream recipe and don't want to change a thing try some non stick paper cups.

Reynolds has them available in the supermarket bakery aisle if you want to try some without having to invest in a 100 piece sleeve.

You will recognize them by the bold print as well as the price (a bit pricey compared to the thin paper ones we were used to using).

The thickness is also a dead give away, nice and hefty for the size.

@ Debsie :The majority of complaints when making muffins is that the paper sticks to the muffin.  Have you tried using parchment muffin liners ?  They are terrific !

                  Some spray the papers with Pam or other cooking sprays, I have never tried this.
