in response to the guy that started the thread 'what do you hate about being a chef' i thought id do the obvious and start the thread 'what do you love about being a chef'

a good hollandaise sauce. (thing of beauty)
creating a new dish like liquorice cured salmon (new to me anyway)
those nights when the bar stays open until stupido'clock in the morning HALLELUJAH :)
going to top end, expensive restaurants
services which aren't to busy and aren't too quiet so you can do some really good food.
having the ability to cook good healthy food-ahuge skill in this day and age.
