Hi, I am a newbie to this forum and have lots of questions as I launch a holiday dessert business.  As far as freshness and presentation of my cakes, which is better - plastic dome with base or cake box with plastic wrap?

Boxes and domes are probably about the same as far as freshness.  What is more important is the type of icing or nappage you use to decorate the baked goods because they hold in moisture and keep the air off.

I am very big on PRETTY presentation therefore I would go for the one that looks very pretty, presentable and professional looking.  Not cheap and quick fix.  Usually they come out looking very cheesey.
