Greetings from forum newbie

Hi all,

I too happened to this forum by googling. Mine was something to the affect of “the top ten food discussion forums” and it led me here.

I have loved to cook for others and myself for quite some time. I’m not a professional chef by any means, (athough I too have a dish or two I’m somewhat pleased with). In choosing a user name, I opted for Chef N. Nod ‘cause to me it sounded like Chef I’m not as well as a slight play on words regarding a cooking term. I thought it was somewhat better then Chuck Roast, which immediately got sent back, as it were, as well as Al Dente and a few others.

I’m looking forward to reading all the food related threads I can, without contributing much in the technical aspect of those areas for now, except possibly for personal taste-type replies. I may however post in the Late night café etc. for now if that’s OK.

Aloha, Welcome Chef N Nod to Chef Talk.

Ya’ know, us Home Cooks bring an awful lot to the table, each and every day for the ones that we love.  I think that speaks volumes!  It’s at this point that I should mention that the 3 Pro forums are read only for folks like you and me; I think that it’s fascinating to be able to peek into their world though.

I would love to see snapshots for the dish or two that you are known for.  I think that the Galleries are mouth-watering inspirations.

Please PM one of us Mods if you have any questions in regards to the site, and I hope to see you around as often as your schedule allows.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the responses. I'm relocating now, with stuff in storage, and looking at as many listings per week as the availabilty allows. Tryng to find the right balance of kitchen, house, and land. As soon as I get settled, and figure out how to dowload from the iPhone, I'd be glad to add my pics to the forum.
