Disposable Tart Pan bottoms

Thread Starter

Hi All, new to the forum....I'm trying to figure out how to make pies in metal, fluted tart pans without having to try to pry the bottoms off for resale to my customers...can anyone direct me to a source? I dont want to sell pie's in those cheesy aluminum disposable pie pans....

Thanks in advance for your help.

best,

Joshua

Whatchyaneed is "insurance papers"

Take out your removable bottom and lay it ontop of silicone (aka parchment, aka baker's) paper, slip a cuting board underneath, and trace/cut the outline with a knife.

Slip this disc of paper onto the metal bottom and lay your dough ontop, proceed as normal, bake as normal.  After baking, the tart should slide off, if not, slip a spatula between the paper and the metal and slide it off.  Peeling the paper off the tart is a no-brainer.

hope this helps

As the post below me states "insurance papers"

You can actually purchase cases of pre cut rounds of parchment. I know for sure they carry them in 8" and 6" rounds.

Just place the parchment rounds on the bottom of the tart pan, and then slide the tart off on to a cake board, and sell it like that.
