Newbe from Pennsylvania saying hi to all

I joined here 2 days ago and never stopped by to introduce myself, I ran out of time after looking through this site.  It's impressive and hope to learn a lot more from all of you on all kinds of cooking  related things.  I'm a 56 year old widow that has had several jobs in my life working in restaurants with some really cool chefs that took me under their wings to teach me many helpful and quick ways to orderly prepare foods and experience different flavors.  Food is just good!  :)

Northeast Penna., as I said that out loud my husband blurts out, that's Philadelphia.

So glad you decided to join, I think that CT is fabulous.  I've learned so much as a Home Cook from the very generous members.

It seems you've looked around the joint; if you have questions, please PM one of us Mods or an Admin person for help.

Have you taken a look at the Galleries yet?  Man, that's inspiring stuff.  I hope to see some snaps of dishes you create in there soon.

Thank you Kaneohegirlinaz,  actually i live way up north close to Corning, Horseheads, Elmira NY very close by to the NYS line.   I really like this site, all kinds of neat ideas!  My mother many years ago developed a recipe called "Apple Butter Roll" and I have never been able to find anything like it in other cooking sites and will have post a picture of that.  Hope this weekend I can spend more time in here.  :)
