There's nothing wrong with home cooks, whilst there are lots of professional chefs on here, many of us fall into the same category as you. Our membership is drawn from all age groups and all around the world. Lots to learn from each other IMO!
The articles, wikis, blogs, reviews and photographs are all worth spending time to view. Join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own in the relevant forum. There are 3 professionals fora which are read only for us non-profs, but they make interesting reading.
