My name is Katherene, Katie for short.
I have been in this profession for 34 years and have had an adventure all around food. Iam a Garde Manger Chef/Food and Beverage Stylist/Food Artist, Scuba Diver, Survivalist, Artist and part time mad food scientist..lol... Know nutrition and bio Farming,and permaculture.... love to garden, and pretty good at it, in the desert! Yes we can grow things here other than tumble weeds! I have done some unusual food presentations and demos. I've opened up 5 major hotels, including the worlds largest hotel in my life , which was many moons ago,now there are several... I have been in Las Vegas most of my life and have seen many changes and a true evolution of dining, food quality and creative mindfulness in all aspects of food service. I feel quite fortunate to have been a part of forming lasting bonds from all the people who I have taught from school to kitchen... and I am grateful for the respect I have earned, doing what I love best.... Creating and cooking... life is good!
