Hi,

Its been a while since i have been on this sight, 

Last time i was on this sight was when i was first considering

becoming a chef, In November 2012 i did two weeks work

experience at this really nice restaurant in the city, little did i 

think that i could get an apprenticeship out of this... three weeks 

later i had my first official shift, and now i'm in probation,

i have my meeting next week which finalize wether i'm in or i'm out,

i just wanted to express to you all how happy and hopeful i am

right now. I also know how alot of chefs regret becomming a chef

and advise others to not become it, but even after all that

i made my choice, and my choice is made.

What are you on probation for?

Heh, he's on probation for the job. A trial before they make a decision on whether he's hired as a cook or not.

I believe he said "in probation", not "on probation". He probably meant he is now  working during his probationary period, a time when he may be let go without cause.
