I am Curious about

the   a schools accreditation's  if i even spelled the right word there sorry i have a learning disability that keeps me from spelling i try spell check

just explaining this for those who have trouble reading my words and understand me at first

I am wondering does it matter

weather i go to a school

that is

ACF    accredited   or   accrediting commissions of career schools and colleges

is that going to matter witch one when it comes to getting out in the work force trying to find work and also transferring to another school one day if need be

i see the Le Cordon blue    campus in Miami is    ACOFCSAC   accredited

and the Le Cordon Blue in Orlando is   ACF    wondering why the same school name would be in to locations with different accrediting

i was thinking about Lincoln Culinary Arts program they are a ACF    but i have read some reviews that say there  program is great but the teachers in there academic classes are no so great

where i have not heard anything bad about the teachers at Le CordOn Blue

so I'm wondering

what is the difference between the 2   accrediting  foundations ?

Accreditation is a set of quality criteria used by the Federal government through the US Dept. Of Education to determine the educational standards of universities and colleges. There are other independent accreditation agencies, not all of whom are recognized by the Dept. of Education.  Which ever school you are looking at, make sure the accrediting agency used by the school is one recognized by the Dept. of Education.

The ACF-American Culinary Federation is an independent chefs organization often used by schools to establish curriculum when offering culinary courses.

When looking at schools, keep in mind that the organizations outlined above do not have control over the day to day operation of the school. Talk to other students and visit the campus to get a more realistic idea of what you will encounter.
