Homemade Baked Goodies!

I've been baking at home for a long time now. I have made so many different desserts; candies, taffies, ice creams, cakes, cookies, gummies, imitation tootsie rolls.. and lots more.

I put together a small slideshow of some baked goods I have remembered to take pictures of, and was able to find at the moment.

Hope you enjoy :D

I myself love to bake and create and show them. My photos are in the gallery. My suggestion is use a better camera, presentation and background. It will enhance your creation. Thank u for showing and sharing. Everyone here is gifted w/ fabulous culinary skills and are willing to share their great skills and knowledge. Some very advance and very professional considering a lot of the people here are all real Chefs and some are good.

Thank you. I apologize for the quality of the pictures. They have been taken over the course of about 5 years. They were taken using my ever changing and evolving cell phones. As I don't have a camera, most pictures are taken quickly just so I at least have a picture. In some cases, like the ice creams, I put in a little more effort... Maybe should have cleared some papers XD.

Amazing!

Maybe PC needs to turn up her computer volume.

I can bake all day long, I can buy the most expensive camera on the market and learn to style my food....but never in my lifetime would I think to accompany my treats with such amazing music.

Well "said", X

Thank you for the compliment, flipflopgirl. I spent a good amount of time trying to fight the right piece to fit that short time frame. Music has always been a big hobby of mine as well. I played clarinet during high school for a number of school bands, musicals, ensembles as concertmaster. I also played first chair in the Durham Youth Orchestra for 3 years, and was invited to play for the Durham Senior Honor Band also for 3 years. During those same high school years I managed to compose approximately 5 hours of original works, spread out over a number of pieces, including a clarinet trio, brass quintet, many unfinished concertos, many short piano jigs, and a full orchestra symphony that I had gotten to 20 minutes long. Unfortunately all of these were done using Finale on my computer. My motherboard crashed, and I am now left with maybe half an hour of my originals. But it was fun nevertheless, and the songs are still in my head at least.

Here is the piece I used for my slideshow. Tarantella S.162 by Franz Liszt.

I can understand where PC is coming from. Constructive criticism, if anything. :)

Enjoy Tarantella,

Cute picture of the cookie on the piano keys! And the fact that it was timed with the piano crescendo was pretty cool too ;)  Now I'm craving ice cream....

Right?

I can understand the loss of so much.

We baked and designed and more of the same when it was just catering and never took pix.

The enormous growth of the industry can largely be laid at the "door" of the internet.

Bakers became cakers and now are rock stars in their own right.

Also amazing, eh.

Thanks for the more accessible link to what is one of my most favorite pieces.
