English Baker

Hello Guys,

How is everyone?

I'm Jay Jasper from England. Working in the industry is something that's very new to me, although Cooking and Baking is something I was brought up doing. My career has been within the Media Industry, but after many years of nagging from Friends and Family, I've decided to start my own Home Bakery.

I'm lucky to be surrounded by Professionals within the industry, but would LOVE to gather all the advice possible from you guys.

Please do get in touch, I'm friendly, promise!

Aloha, Welcome to Chef Talk.

This is such a great place.

Take a look around, join in wherever you have interest.

On that though, the Professional Forums are just that, you and I are asked to read only there.  The Special Guest Forum, where past guests have answered some members’ questions in the past, also has some great info.  You might want to do a Search at the top of the page prior to starting a thread of your own; many topics have been pretty well gone over.  Should you have questions in regards to the website after reading the Tutorials, FAQ and Community Guidelines, please PM a Mod or Admin person, I think that you’ll find that everyone has the utmost respect for one another.

Please open a branch in upstate NY. I grew up listening to my father rhapsodize about the english bakeries he went to as a kid in Rhode Island. Eccles cakes, maid of honor tarts and a lot of other stuff. All the bakeries have closed now.  Good luck with your efforts.
