I'm dabbling with jarring and selling my restaurants "house spice" and was curious about the legalities. What type of jar should I use and where can I get them cheap and in bulk? Do I need an expiration date? Lisencing?
All depends on where you are - what does your local "food police" expect.
Labeling and expiry dates are dictated by the market and/or food inspection agencies.
