My name is Larry and I just became a member. We are (me and my partner) planning to open a restaurant and this will be my first restaurant business experience as an owner. I have been hearing about this forum; so I decided to become a member.

I am originally from Turkey and I do not know much about the kitchen part of the business, I am more into financial and marketing side of the business. I have, though, serving and catering experience. Many years here in the US and in London, UK I worked as server  and caterer while I was studying and setting up my other business (farm equipment parts business).

Any how, thanks for the opportunity and I am happy to be part of ChefTalk community.

So glad you found us! This a vibrant and diverse community comprised of folks of varying skill levels. Don't miss the Chef's Garden forum; there is always something interesting growing there. I hope that you will post in the general forums as well as in the Professional, Home Cooks such as myself can only read in the Pro section. Should you have questions in regards to the site, please post them in the Feedback & Suggestion Forum. I think that you'll find that everyone here is very helpful and respectful.
