Vanilla Yoghurt Ice cream recipe

I saw a vanilla yoghurt ice cream recipe that asks for vanilla powder, must i boil the vanilla powder for the flavour to come out, if needed i will just use a bit of distiller water for it, add it and boil with vanilla powder, cool it down and then add to yoghurt before making youghurt ice cream or can i just add it directly to yoghurt the vanilla powder. For those who don't know, vanilla powder is ground vanilla. Thanks for the answers.

Can i just add [the vanilla powder] directly to yoghurt?

Yes.  That's the correct way to use vanilla powder.

Thanks so much for the input boar_d_laze :-) That is all that I need to know. I am making my own greek yogurt and turning it into a vanilla ice cream yoghurt, using only yoghurt, vanilla and honey. Many say ice cream to be called an ice cream needs to has heavy cream in it, not neccessary, even low fat milk has cream but smaller amount only :-) Anyway thanks again for your answer.
