brown sugar might help and make sure not to over bake. pull them when they are still a bit soft...usually 12 minutes to the second works for me.....what exactly were your ingredients? I find that, like most things in cooking, it's ratios.
Good idea, list my ingredients. Here they are:
(I want to stay low sugar. I think more eggs is the way to go because I want the protein in there too)
½ cup peanut butter
¼ cup brown sugar
1/4 tablespoon turbinado sugar
1 1/2cup quick cooking rolled oats – maybe more next time and more water
1 cup toasted oat bran
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
3 tablespoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
1 tablespoon coconut butter
4 tablespoons coconut oil
6 ounces chocolate chips (optional) and/or 16 ounces of dried tart cherries

yes to adding more egg or you can sub applesauce for the egg.
