Manual Meat Grinder - need advice

My intent is to grind 3/4 - 2 pounds of meat for pate.  I have no intention of sausagemaking and so I'm eyeballing a #10 meat grinder.  The ones made of tin plated cast iron cost just under $40 and the stainless ones around $89.  Any knowledgeable recommendations would be welcome.  And yes, for around $30 more, I can get something electric at Wally's.

I will respond to this as I have all 3 that you mentioned as well as the grinder attachment for the stand mixer. All of them will work for you in grinding for patte'. you just need to make sure you have a small enough grinding plate to get your product to the correct consistancy. Mulitpal grindings might accomplish this. hope this helped

I just received a #10 Chop Rite manual grinder purchased from ebay and delivered for a total of $52.  It is in brand new and unused condition with minor oxidation and very slight rust on one of the plates.  Included are all the major parts plus two #10 plates, 1/4" and 3/16".  And additional plate was included and looks to be one that fits either a #5 or #8 grinder.  And the four-bladed knife appears totally unused.  Methinks I did great and should you be contemplating a grinder, this is the one to get and they're still being made here in the U.S.  Forget the poorly made chinese stuff.  Their pouring and milling ain't worth ****.
