Very pleased to have found this forum. Most of my experience is with Mexican and Indian cuisine, as well as a fair amount of baking using a live sourdough culture. A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with diabetes. This has really shaken me out of my comfort zone as I've been trying to find a good variety of dishes that she can eat. I'm sad that she can't eat my homemade babka anymore, especially as she's the one who inspired me to learn how to make it.
Greetings from upstate New York!
Welcome to Cheftalk!
i know we have at least a couple of diabetic members, so feel free to ask questions in the Recipe forum for instance. The blogs, articles, reviews and photograhs here are all well worth spending time to view, as well.
the professional fora are read-only for those of us who are not employed in a culinary trade but can make interesting reading!
hope to see you around the boards.
