Just wanted to say hello to all members as I've used this forum to help shop for stuff and other general stuff!
Hi Rob! Welcome to Chef Talk. We're glad you've already found the site useful and hope you continue to do so.
I hope you take a look at the site beyond the forums. We have a newsletter you can subscribe to; photo galleries galore; equipment and cookbook reviews; cooking articles- the list goes on and on. As your cooking prowess expands, you'll find more and more here to learn. I'm a home cook too, and I have to say I've grown in confidence and expanded my repertoire of dishes and baking since I've been part of this community.
Keep in mind the Professionals' forums are "read-only" for us home cooks, but don't be shy about soaking up the information there. Post away in the general forums, as the professionals hang out there and share what they know. After all, it's not for nothing we say Chef Talk is "the food lover's link to professional chefs"!
