Hello from Wisconsin!!

Thread Starter

Hello all......I am a middle age female with a lot of home cookin' experience. I love to be in the kitchen, but often do not get enough time there as I own and manage our bar/restaurant. I am looking forward to getting some new and fresh ideas for our kitchen.

I'm going to take a wild guess that it's the "Jodi" half of "jodiandjim" who wrote the first post here, and say hi to you, Jodi! It's with great pleasure I get to welcome a sister Cheesehead, too. smile.gif While I haven't had the pleasure of visiting Stockbridge yet, we do head up to Door County now and then. (We live outside Milwaukee.)

I'm a home cook too, and I can tell you this is an excellent place to pick up new ideas- but also to share what you know with others. Please don't be shy to jump in when you're comfortable. While it's true the Professionals' forums are reserved to them for posting, you can read there all you like. Home cooks like us can post in any of the many General forums, and the Professionals also post there. After all, Chef Talk is "a food lover's link to professional chefs", so we do mingle quite a bit. lol.gif

Does your establishment have a special it's known for, such as walleye or venison dishes? Maybe you have the best desserts in Calumet County? Or maybe you're the friendliest place for Lake Winnebago fishermen to pull in after a long day on the water.

We come from all over the world, professional and home cooks, all ages, all levels of experience. Our moderators work hard to keep things respectful and fun. I hope you enjoy being part of this community.

Welcome!
