Turning over a new leaf...

Hello everyone, my name is Sara, and I recently graduated Le Cordon Bleu here in Orlando. I was working at the Latin Quarter/Churrascaria in Universal Studios until about 4 months ago when my grandfather was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I was forced to leave my position and had to care for him at home. Put aside office politics and coworker dramatics, and I truly did love my job and who I worked with. It was an opportunity that I will never forget, and as an aspiring Personal Chef I am seeking to further my options and my knowledge in any way possible. Any and all criticism, advice, motivation, etc is warmly welcomed and respected. I currently have a group on Facebook called Foodies, in which we are slowly increasing our member base and exposure. I am a woman of only 20, graduated from high school and thrown into the industry. I seek the opportunity to show my skills and prove my dedication. I will be posting pictures of my composed work throughout my schooling and at home. I look forward to hearing from each of you and picking those brains! Thanks again everyone, best of luck! -Sara Lee.

Hello Chef Sara. Welcome to Chef Talk. Congratulations on your graduation from Le Cordon Bleu! I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing; may he rest in peace.

As you can see we have an array of forums here, although none specifically for personal chefs. However, by virtue of your status, you're welcome to post and participate in the professionals' forums. A good many of our members there are personal chefs or have experience in the field.

We look forward to viewing your photo gallery when you have it uploaded to our site. Let us know if you need any technical assistance with that. I'm useless myself with this technology, but I do know how to get the right person to help you! lol.gif

Good luck to you in your new enterprise! We hope you enjoy being part of this community.

Best regards,

Mezzaluna
