They come in several sizes.  Which size is the most popular/recommended???

Best and I'm a foodie.   I know very little but the little that I know I want to know very well.

For either straight or tapered french rolling pin I find 17 - 19 inch most useful.  A lot depends upon your coutner space and the size of the surface being rolled upon.  For ball bearing rolling pin I use a 12 inch (excluding the length of the handles).  All are probably biggger than necessary, but work well for me.

I am not a frenchwoman/man (in fact, I have no French ancestry that I'm aware of), so please read my post with an American accent (with hints of Boston).  talker.gif
