Crab risotto and chicken parm?  Breaded pork cutlets?  Tempura shrimp?  Veal piccata?  Poached salmon?

Is crab risotto the app and you're looking for a main?

Actually I'm not sure yet.  I really liked the lobster risotto I did last week as a main, thought I'd try crab, probably as a side.  Just having a senior moment, coming up blank, looking for a nudge in some direction.

In my mind the crab risotto works as its own dish, without the need for any accompaniments...  if you must come up with something to serve to the side I would do a fresh salad... for example something made with mache, grapefruit and avocado, simple dressing of lime/lemon juice, olive oil and black pepper.

You could also consider a garnish for the risotto, for example something fried like fried shallots (or the fried shallots could go on the salad of course).

But personally I wouldn't serve a surf risotto with turf...?

A nice salad & good bread is all it needs.

Actually ended up doing both crab and shrimp in the risotto, quite nice.  Big green salad, forgot to get the bread I wanted.  Oh well, wife's family loved it.
