Pan Discoloration

A jelly roll pan (aka small sheet pan) was placed in the dishwasher.  Once washed and dried, it has a splotchy gray discoloration.  How can I restore the pans original 'silver finish'?????

Depends what material it is. If it's stainless steel, try some hot distilled white vinegar. After that rinse and rub some baking soda paste (baking soda and a tiny but of water) on it by hand or a lemon or orange rind. Scrub burnt on spots with a thick pad of baking soda paste.
If it's aluminum, try baking soda, if that doesn't work, use commercial aluminum cleaner.

After many weeks of awaiting a response I read at Facebook a mixture of baking soda and oxyclean (peroxide).   Thanks!

And I'm reading this from a friend at FB:  You put about 1/4 cup of baking soda in a small glass bowl and squirt in hydrogen peroxide until it makes a nice paste. Then you rub it on the offending dirt/stainActually this mixture will clean a bunch of stuff.

I'll need to try both mixtures.
