I understand (at least i think i do) the concept of running orders - orders placed in the kitchen that will be picked up by service staff when ready for delivery and service to guests (as opposed to standing orrders): Is this right?
My question is suppose a wait staff has forgotten an order - lets say a side part of aorder of fre nch fries with the cheese omelet and comes running to the kitchen (after serving the omlett) requesting (begging) for the same to be delivered on an express basis (read leave everythink and make this because i have forgotten it)
Is there a name for the status of such an order??
